The Dhaka Founders Chapter of Junior Chambers International (JCI) held its 3rd General Members’ Meeting (GMM) of the year on September 21, 2024, at the Nascent Gardenia Hotel, marking yet another significant event in the chapter’s busy annual calendar. The meeting served as a platform for members to review progress, discuss ongoing projects, and plan for the final quarter of 2024.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Chapter President Nahid Hasan, who expressed pride in the chapter’s numerous accomplishments this year. He highlighted the various leadership and community-building initiatives the chapter had undertaken, including successful projects that focused on mental wellbeing, tree plantation, water conservation, and flood relief.
As a special treat, the President of the JCI Bangladesh National Board, Mr. Imran Kadir, also graced the event, along with other notable members of the national board. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of collaboration, leadership development, and the role young professionals play in shaping a better future for Bangladesh.
The 3rd GMM concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions from members who have gone above and beyond in their service to the chapter. The night ended on a high note with a networking session over dinner, allowing members to connect and share their experiences.
JCI Dhaka Founders Chapter has seen significant growth in 2024, both in terms of membership and impact. With a renewed focus on leadership development and community service, the chapter aims to close out the year strong, with several high-profile events planned for the final quarter.
The next GMM is expected to be held in December, where the chapter will review its achievements for the year and set the agenda for 2025.
